ABC Recycling is planning an Industrial Metal Shredder in Bellingham’s Alderwood neighborhood, near an elementary school, day cares, and thousands of residents. Metal shredding is a toxic process and shredders aren’t regulated enough to keep Bellingham’s community safe. Other communities near metal shredders report unhealthy noise levels, pollution, and frequent fires.
